Everyone loves a wooden bird house and they are a favorite as gifts for anyone that enjoys the outdoors or that wants to encourage more bird traffic to their home. It's easy to get hooked on watching the many varieties of birds that visit the wooden bird house once you have it set outside and fill it with some seed.

Giving a wooden bird house as a gift is a great option for housewarming parties, for newlyweds, or for anyone that loves nature and the outdoors. In some cases you may want to make your own from a kit or from scratch and decorate it in a way that's going to be pleasing to the other person. Or you may want to give them an unfinished wooden bird house and allow them to decorate it themselves, or even spend some time decorating it with them. This can be a great way to spend time with children or with one's elderly parents who can't get out of the home too much.

It may be s simple kit that you glue together or may be something more involved that means cutting the wood from a design. Again, think of them and their level of expertise. If they're handy then a more complicated wooden bird house they build almost from scratch is the best choice but for others, a snap together design is probably better. They can then paint an decorate their gift as they please and enjoy it for years to come!
