Offer martins an elegant and stately nest with the Wing and A Prayer Purple Martin Manse. This impressive home adds practicality and style to any backyard. The base of the house is 26"x26" and is 30" tall. Constructed entirely of PVC lumber, the Manse is virtually maintenance free. There are 16 nest cavities measuring 6"x6"x6". Each nest cavity is vented so that a chimney effect is encouraged via the central air shaft that runs from the first floor to the attic. This construction helps in keeping the nest areas cool during nesting periods. The attic has a vented opening in each gable that is covered in screen wire to prevent any unwanted "poachers" from nesting in the attic area. To clean out the old nests simply back out 2 screws that hold the roof on. The interior floors( 1st and 2nd) are made of 3/8" PVC lumber and are easily removed as one unit when you are ready to do your cleaning. The openings are 2", trimmed with predator guards and are 1" above the 3" wide porches that surround both the first and second floors. This piece is designed for Purple Martins, yet it provides the beauty and majesty that will enhance any garden or landscaping area. A 5.75" x 5.625" mounting collar is attached to the base of the item, and can accommodate a 6" x 6" wooden post (not included) for secure mounting.
