Heartwood Martin Mansion w/ Copper Roof

This house is a nice design and solidly built. It is a bit bigger than I expected, but that is on me since I based my assumption on the picture and not the actual dimensions.

Here are a few critiques, that shouldn't take away from the overall quality and nice design (4 out of 5 stars overall). Out of the box, some edges were rough and splintery, such as around the openings, requiring some trimming and sanding; a few nails were not driven in all the way, so they required a bit of hammering (not super easy in that they were under the roof); it is not possible to open the house to clean it out after nesting season, so the only option is to pull the nesting material out with a needle nose pliers or similar (I would recommend that when the roof is opened it provide access to the inside, instead of being nailed shut as it is); and, the metal plate that secures the house to a 4x4 post is just barely the right gauge to hold the house in place (due to the size and weight of the house, I would recommend a thicker mounting plate to attach it more securely in the event of high wind or the occasional bump). At the price for this house, attention to these details would seem appropriate.
