We have been using it for a couple of weeks so far and seems to be working great. We have had a few cold nights and no issues with preventing the ice that we've had on our old glass water bowl.
I put my bird feeder/bath right next to our newly constructed home. The birds are slowly discovering it. This heated bird bath has already kept the water from freezing when the temp is in the single digits!
This was a great purchase. I wish we had had more cold days (not really) for the birds to need it.
