Double Ringed Red Cedar Heated Bird Bath

Bought this for a relative and they love it!

After i month of use, and we've had some cold days, the heated portion of this nicely crafted bird bath stopped working.

The bowl is actually one from an inexpensive brand available on Amazon. It's very shallow (less than an inch), so it needs to be watched carefully and refilled frequently. In addition, if you assemble the stand using the pilot holes and cut lines of the legs as guidelines, the bath isn't level. This makes the shallowness of the bowl even worse, because of course one side is at the brim before the bowl is at full capacity. You can't tell from the pictures, but the wood is rough (not sanded), which makes it difficult to clean off bird poop. The heated bowl does work, at least down to about 20°F it has been so far, but I would not choose this bath again.
