Beautifully constructed , easy to clean , easy to assemble. I have noticed that compared to my roofless platform feeder , birds appear to like the roofless better. . I have both and birds currently have a choice. The roof may prevent early warning of a predator.

Big plus: This feeder is made of recycled materials. Bigger plus: Birdies seem to love it. One day in the early winter, my GF had six Evening Grosbeaks(!) visit her tube feeders, and she noticed that these big birds had trouble negotiating vertical feeders with small perches, so we talked it over and decided that, even though we'd probably never see these Grosbeaks again, a platform feeder would make a nice birthday present, just in case. We installed this feeder atop the 1" Pole Kit (a perfect application), spread some black oil sunflower seeds on it, and sat back watching while we ate lunch. Her Tufted Titmice, Black-Capped Chickadees, and Bluejays found it and seem to love it. Birds like being able to look around for danger while they grab a seed or two. (The Nuthatches and Juncos stuck to their familiar feeding patterns, upside-down on the tube feeders, and on the ground, respectively. No further sign of the Grosbeaks; maybe they'll stop by on their way back up North.) This platform feeder is well and solidly constructed, and it's virtually weatherproof (although my GF takes the precaution of emptying the seeds overnight if weather is coming in). When the time comes to clean it (an important consideration from season to season), it should clean up well. I don't casually hand out five stars; this is a nice product. Make sure to install it somewhere that squirrels don't have a vantage point to leap across to it.
The platform feeder I purchased was just what I had been looking for. I like the fact it's made from recycled milk jugs. It's large and open so my birds love it. Shipping was quick.
This is a very large platform feeder, perfect for birds that are more comfortable feeding in a roomy environment. The roof provides excellent protection from rain and snow. The removable screen at the bottom ensures drainage to avoid rotting of seed. This feeder's sturdy construction of recycled materials will not deteriorate like porous materials do. It should last a very long time.

I wanted a bird feeder that was heavy and sturdy to put on my deck railing. I picked the perfect one. And the removable tray is genius! Very pleased with the quality!
Platform feeder is very well built. Ended up ordering the legs as well. Decided to place them on the short ends of the platform rather than the longer front and back sides. Very sturdy. Only disappointment is that we've had hardly any activity. The finches still prefer the hanging feeders and the mourning doves just sit on the ground around the platform. The only visitor so far that I've seen is a squirrel. We have numerous feeders around the yard and a variety of birds but none have really taken to the platform feeder yet. We'll give it until springtime and see how it goes. Maybe more will use it in the winter?
We got the feeder quickly. It's incredibly well built. Seems very durable. It is heavy so a sturdy pole is best. It did not come with the hardware needed to mount it on a pole. So I suggest you order that as well. Really great feeder. Birds love these the most of any feeder this bird loving family has ever had and we've tried lots of things.
I received my bird feeder promptly, however I ordered it for my daughter's birthday and have not given it to her yet, but so far I would definatly give Wild Bird on Line a 5 star rating
