The Barred Owl is slightly larger than a barn owl and sounds like a typical "hoot owl." This Barred Owl house from Coveside Conservation can be mounted high in a tree with the two metal hangers.  An excellent habitat for these highly valued, rodent-eaters, this habitat includes a side clean-out and wood chips.  Bottom of side opens for ease in cleaning. Drainage holes in the floor and slanted roof keeps the interior dry. Side ventilation helps maintain proper temperature for owlets.  Hand crafted in Maine of sustainably grown Eastern White Pine. 
 
Note: Product is shipped unassembled to save on unnecessary shipping costs on an oversized package.  Owl box comes with easy to assemble instructions.
 
Range: From British Columbia east to Nova Scotia and south to northern California and to Texas and Florida.
 
Habitat: Low, wet woods and swampy forests

You can't argue with success. I ordered an Owl House for a Barred Owl, hoping to attract one to my wetland. It came quickly, was easy to assemble, was of high quality, but the main thing is this: An owl took residence within two days!!! I am ordering another!

This fit the fill for a new barred owl house and was competitively priced. All materials were provided including wood shavings for the inside. I would prefer some drawings/photos to follow for assembly, but the written text direction were sufficient. Delivery was on time and materials were good quality and had proper fit. I recommend this house.
