Help reduce the mosquito population by giving bats a safe place to roost. The Vintage Bat House by Heartwood does just that. Slanted roof and overhang protects the inhabitants from rain. This single chamber bat house measures 1" deep and will house approximately 20 bats. Bats are known to eat thousands of mosquitos in a 24 hour period so they're a great way to naturally cut down on disease spreading insects. Solid wood construction keeps the temperature in the home regulated, and a hanger on the back should be used to place the house on a wall or tree at least 20 feet in the air. Hand crafted by Heartwood in the USA.

Very cool - even better than I expected!

I bought this as a gift for my sister-in-law, and she loved it. I was actually tempted to go back and buy another for myself. They used a lot of attention to detail in making this, and it shows.
