It works as it should, to let the smaller birds through while keeping the larger ones out.

I decided to clean my feeders by taking them apart. Once you take off the bird mounts, the screw no longer holds the two pieces together. They become stripped. Had to go find new screws with little nuts to hold it together. So I'm not really pleased about this..for as much as we paid for these feeders. I could get something similar from Birds unlimited with a lifetime guarantee on all parts.

I have not received the bird feeder. It has been delayed since March 13th.

Definitely keeps out blackbirds and grackles as well as the squirrels. Only wish it held more seed. Definitely would recommend this feeder.

This cage feeder stopped the starlings from pilfering food. The smaller birds came to it after a day or two, zipping in and out easily. An added benefit is that it keeps deer from knocking seeds out as they did on the uncaged tube feeders! I kid you not... they'd rear up and "bop" the bottom of the tube feeders with their nose, dispensing some seed they'd eat off the ground. The cage feeder has more heft to it, which surprises them when it swings back at them. Foiled 'em! We have cones on the feeder poles so squirrels aren't an issue. I can't speak to the ease of cleaning it as it's brand new. It was shipped promptly, too.

I have this hanging on a tree hook for my smaller birds.. after a couple weeks.. no squirrel has figured it out.. the top piece keeps them away from the plastic tube that they can chip away.. they are determined critters.. love this feeder.

We’d had a “squirrel-proof” feeder (the weight-triggering kind) which was never effective. Then, the starlings arrived this winter. The are usually in our fig tree in the summer, but, not here in the winter. They would get on the feeder and knock all the food out within a matter of 2-3 hours! That was it!! So, I did research, ordered and received the Woodlink Caged feeder, hung it, and have not seen a squirrel OR a starling even make an attempt. And, it didn’t take long for the birds we WANT around to figure it out—it is an awesome and high-quality feeder!!

It’s working as promised, preventing the squirrels and “bully birds” from getting to the food!! Love it!!

I now have 4 of these feeders. I had to cover them in 1/4" wire mesh to keep the larger birds way as they would empty each feeder in a day or two. I put several openings in the mesh for the smaller birds and now have several dozen Painted Buntings visit several times per day. I"m HAPPY

This feeder is well made and perfect for our smaller bird visitors. The Blue jays and squirrels are stymied by the larger cage design. It was well wrapped and shipped quickly.
