The Magnet Squirrel Resistant Feeder

Watching squirrels humorously attempt to get into the seeds and slide down the tube like in a cartoon has brought us to tears. And watching so many different kinds of birds come visit us has brought us so much joy. Wish we had bought this many years ago. It’s sturdy, easy to fill, and exactly as described. Thank you!

I have two of these. The older one is green metal; on the newer one, the green part is plastic. Squirrels cannot hang upside down from the top and feed from the ports b/c the seed tube is too long. If they try to jump to a perch, the perch falls down b/c the squirrel is too heavy and the squirrel dumps to the ground. The only way a squirrel gets into this feeder is if you mount it in a way/place where the squirrel can sit nearby and reach the ports. Best feeder ever IMO!! Even my newer one with plastic parts is probably 5+ years old. It did get some chewing marks around the port, but nothing affecting performance. I wish they didn't switch to plastic, but still a great feeder.

Feeders hold a large amount of various seeds, and I really enjoy that I only have to fill them once a week. I primarily use black oil sunflower & safflower. I bought two feeders and am happy I did!

I had this sent to my family in Corpus Christi. They immediately spotted a flock of Indigo Buntings, rose breasted groesbeak, and a painted bunting. Fantastic! Worth every penny!!!
