The inside of the box under the exit hole is not scored (or does not have a small mesh attached) in order for the nestlings without strong claws to safely climb out. It is actually slippery. The inside bottom of the box is 4.5X4.5 which is too small for our Mountain Bluebird, Tree and Violet-green swallows.
Attached perfectly to our bluebird house stand. Seems very sturdy. Bluebird house is open for business!
i think its a good bird house, i could find no fault with it...i painted it deep hunter green which i believe the little birds find comforting and reassuring
