The SREH (starling resistant entrance holes) is a tried and proven method for helping to eliminate the pesky European Starling. Tests have shown the entry holes are 99.8% effective in achieving this. This hole is cut to an exact height restricting starling entry but allowing safe entry for the Purple Martin which gives it a greater sense of security. The SREH Mansions come with all cool aluminum and stainless steel construction, reflective roof, ceiling panel for proper ventilation, porch dividers, hinged clean out doors, guard rails, top perch, and an all aluminum base plate. House come with base plate adapter for mounting to pole. Adapter will fit any pole with inside diameter of 1-1/2" or outside diameter of 1-3/8".
We highly recommend door plugs be inserted when your martins migrate south to ensure sparrows or other birds don't nest in the house. To ensure maximum martin occupancy please keep other birds out of the house.

From a Novice to a Thriving Colony Keeper—These Martin Houses Are a Game Changer!
I’ve been putting up Purple Martin houses for about 7 years, and I’ll be the first to admit—I’m no expert. Just a bird lover hoping to help these beautiful creatures find a safe place to nest.
I’ve tried two other brands over the years, and while they were fine, nothing—absolutely nothing—compares to what I’ve experienced with these homes. I currently have two of the 3-level, 12-room houses, and the transformation has been incredible. These white houses are often covered top to bottom, side to side—completely darkened by the all the pretty birds!
At times, we count 30 (or more) perched or swooping around, and the activity and singing is nonstop! It’s a total joy to witness.
I’m so impressed, I’m ordering three more houses to expand the colony and hopefully support up to 150 martins. If you’re serious about giving Purple Martins a proper home—and getting real results—don’t waste your time on anything else. These are somewhat pricey especially assembled but worth every penny. I wouldn't order anything else!

I ordered this not put together. Next time it will be already assembled. It's wasn't difficult to assemble, just time consuming (lots of nuts and bolts) . Looks great on my new telescoping pole that I purchased thru you.
