Create a purple martin colony in your own backyard or enlarge your existing one with the Purple Martin Deluxe System with 8 Gourds.  The rack features a 2-inch-square, high-tensile strength aluminum two-piece pole that is now 14 feet tall above ground when installed.  The gourd hub and arms accommodate 8 gourds, and raise and lower with a 2-pulley rope & pulley lanyard system.   Pre-installed nylon glide buttons in the hub assure squeak-free operation.  The aluminum gourd arms attach to the hub using stainless steel hardware.

The gourd rack system includes eight Troyer Gourds with Connelly II entrances (starling resistant), a 42 ground stake; a two-piece high-tensile strength square aluminum pole; two 36" top perches; a plastic pole cap; a rope winder with attached stainless steel hardware; polyester rope with attached eyebolts and pulleys; a hub; gourd-hanging arms; and all the hardware necessary for installing the rack (3 bags of concrete mix not included).  Square poles are superior in strength to customary round martin poles.  A square pole also makes it easy to align gourds correctly when raising and lowering the system.

All gourd racks and gourd rack systems come with complete instructions.  Assembly required.

Poor customer service

I ordered crescent shaped holes and received round holed gourds 32 days ago. As of today, I still have everything in the huge box awaiting someone to contact me as to what to do. Telephoning nor email helps get attention to this matter. I chose this company because of the fantastic reviews. Poor choice.

Awesome Martin house

I was afraid I had waited a little too late to order this system for this year, because my other Martin house was pretty much full and had been for a couple of weeks! I installed the gourd system and quickly had 4-5 more pairs move into it within the week. The system is very nice and easy enough to install.

Great customer service & product

This company was great to work with I ordered my purple martin bird kit just a few days before Christmas and they made sure I got it on time to go under the tree. When the kit I was ordering was not available they promptly called me and offered me a great price on a nicer kit a kit I would have ordered to begin with if the price had been less. My son and his wife loved the kit. Looking forward to putting it up in the spring.
